Thanksgiving Color

For everyone who thinks California doesn't have seasons (like my family on the East Coast who come here only in the summer and think it's always hot out here) I took these photos today.  It's been gloriously beautiful the whole week and, unfortunately, I picked an overcast day to take the pictures but..nevertheless...

This are my neighbor's trees but I get to enjoy them too:

Proof that God is with us every day.

  1. I received your comment today on our retirement blog. It really was a great dinner. But now, I am looking out our front window toward the mountains and it is snowing. The first of the season. But then, I am refreshed to look at your photos of the fall colors and the vineyards. Looks a lot like the Snake Rivere AVA (Idaho) in the early fall. Thanks for your comments.

  3. Beautiful photos. Our daughter lived in CA for a few years and we'd always loved to visit there.
Thanks for visiting me. Always nice to meet another blogger. You have a beautiful home.

  4. Oh, thank you for sharing these beautiful photos. Yes, it is quite the proof God made the heavens and the earth.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

  5. I'm a California transplant to Oregon via Hubby's job. When I saw these photos my first thought was Livermore but there are so many beautiful areas of California with vineyards tucked in so peacefully. Miss the "golden" hills now that we are into our Oregon seasonal rains.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my reminiscing post. Seems this impending empty nest is harder than I thought it would be. Two are adults and this last one almost finished with college. And just yesterday they were all little....
